Bathing in the Moonlight, and Other Good decisions I made Today
Share
Today I have a lot of work to do and a lot to celebrate. I stuck by my decision to stop waiting until my website would be perfect before publishing it, I wrote articles about my pieces that made me cry, I danced, I listened to music, I let the sun warm me while taking picture of my pieces to upload on the website, I made my bed, I cooked lasagna with my friends and went to the beach to swim in the moonlight, naked.
Why today?
Because it is the full moon.
Being self employed, I lost all sense of days and weeks and holidays and time. I work everyday, and the system of time division that makes most sense to me is the moon. And I have looked at the moon every night since I was 5. I moved my bed in my room while growing up to be able to admire her out of the window. And for the past few months i have kept track of moon phases and have celebrated every full and new moon with friends, talking about our goals.
And on the last new moon, two weeks ago, I set three intentions : to let go of the want for everything to be perfect and exactly as I imagine it before gifting it to the world, to publish my website, to bathe in the sea on the full moon, letting its reflection cleanse me. Of what? I am not sure.
Of the fear of being seen,
But you cannot be understood without being seen.
And by letting go, I achieved in 2 weeks what I have been working towards for the past 8 months. And today I have achieved all of my three intentions.
But most importantly, I am finding my own pace and my own path.
